i love fall...
right now there is…
-beef stew simmering in the crockpot.
-spiced apple cider simmering on the stove.
-a pumpkin spice candle burning on the bar.
-fall snack mix of pretzles, peanuts, candy corn, and raisins on the counter to snack on.
-pumpkin dip with apples and triscuits waiting to be eaten.
-warm fluffy biscuits waiting to be baked.

i just bought this lovely headband for Vivi’s going home outfit/hospital picture outfit from the farm chick on etsy. i love it!
and these little booties too. they have a little bit of sparkle so cute and simple love these…and only 4.75. i mean really. thanks bernadette’s boutique these booties will go great with the outfit i have in my mind.

isla's pt/ot week of 10/24...
i’ve been really bad about keeping up with islas therapy posts. sorry there is no video with this one i forgot. videos coming back soon of her therapy. since casts have been on not a whole lot has been going on in her sessions.
im going to try harder to do this every week after therapy.

11 hours of sleep...
holy cow. yesterday i had my glucose test and did not feel good after it. nausea, headache, extremely tired. so my wonderful husband told me to go to bed at 8:30. so i did. ive got to listen to him. you know submission and all of that ;) i woke up at 7:30. of course isla was up a few times last night and woke up to use the restroom a few times last night (5) but still i feel great. and to top it...

cloth wipes diy...
these are so easy and inexpensive…
there are a few ways to make cloth wipes. you can buy flannel, terry cloth, cotton, muslin, whatever kind of fabric by the yard that you prefer. re-use fabrics scraps you have or receiving blankets new or used. you can double side them. you can chose to not close the raw edges, zig-zag sew with a regular sewing machine, or serge the edges.

oh monday monday...
isla has been sleeping bad…its her off week. it is coming to a close. she has two good weeks one bad week. said bad week hopefully should be over today or tomorrow. she screamed all day yesterday…and all she wants to do today is sleep. and im going to let her she is exhausted. she slept decent last night woke up twice. then woke up at 7:30 fell back asleep and woke up again at 9:30...

i was up with isla 3 times by midnight...
and then i couldnt fall back alseep, while i was laying in bed trying to fall asleep i found my self thinking about the ultimate diaper bag. theres never a good spot for some items. maybe i should design a line…
like mine has a pouch to hold bottles but if i want to take a bottle or food that has to stay cold i need a separate bag… so im going to sew an insulated pouch on the side...

i do have a pinterest…look me up! and i never thought to look on there for soap recipes. i am trying to find a soap that would work for bath times, diaper wipe solution, and tim and i. an all around soap…i think i have perfected my recipe. now i jsut need to make it and try it out…but i really want to make my own laundry soap for the girls diapers, wipes, bibs, cloths, etc…...

I ordered the girls cloth diapers!!!...
i ordered about 12 each of Alva Baby and Sunbaby cloth pocket diapers.
i am so excited to get started on this next little journey. of course since i ordered straight from those companies it will be about 30 days before we receive the diapers. which is good i still have a lot to do to prepare for the “BIG SWITCH” as tim and i are calling it. i want everything in order before we start...

best moment of the week: i was sitting on the couch holding isla and tim walked in the door from work and he came right over and said “kisses for my 3 girls” and gave us all kisses one for me one for isla and one for my belly (vivi). ok one more…i said...

last night tim and i were having a conversation...
and it turned to isla…
i was telling tim. how i dont get a chance to feel upset or worry about what isla has to go through. i deal, make the necessary appointments and arrangements, relay the information to everyone including family, friends, other doctors, therapists, etc… they all give me the normal responses. oh no, im so sorry, youll get through this, i feel so bad for her, i hate...

sitting on the couch watching the bears game, scrolling down my dash. with a cup of decaf coffee, the cat is hacking up a hair ball, tim is asking me if a store bought extra strength pain reliever is the same as ibuprofen, isla is chattering in her crib when she should be sleeping, and oxford is fast asleep on a pillow i really want to put behind my back.

so finally i have posted isla’s birth story. i made a new banner and consolidated some pages on the blog. made page for isla and one for vivi. islas has her birth story. her surgery. her diagnosis. and soon some about her casting process and such. vivis has nothing on it yet and hopefully nothing til mid january til shes done baking! but anyway enjoy all…and be prepared the birth story...

DIY chair edition...
i bought this chair at a garage sale last year for $3
a couple cans of spray paint and some extra fabric left over from a previous project and voila…. a cute little chair for the living room.

isla and daddy sitting waiting for xrays shortly after getting them put on. the casting was successful. the right joint is fully in socket the left is partially there we go back in a week for them to turn her left arm a little bit more and to re-cast it. he did not want to put all that pressure on the arm at once. so then after that it should be another 5-6 weeks. so far she seems to be dealing...

Grandma passed away while i was 4 months pregnant with isla. she was so excited about this pregnancy and she never got to meet isla. grandma was in the hospital for a few days before she passed away and she had moments of clarity and moments where she was really foggy and talking nonsense or she just couldnt remember...
