hahahahahahahahaha...
as i am pulling a piece of candy out of a bag. a very fit guy just walked into the store and asked “are you coming to boot camp (an outdoor strength and conditioning class) tomorrow?” i pop the candy in my mouth as i reach for the flyer and he says “hope to see you there”. and i just laugh…
is that a sign?

new medicine and therapy room...
first i would like to start this post off by saying a huge huge huge thank you to my wonderful family members that donated money towards isla’s therapy room fund! we are going to be able to start construction of the room now!!!!

Isla Ann's 18 month Medical Update...
Isla is going to be 18 months in 3 DAYS!!!! thats a year and half folks! but i will put a post up about that after her 18 month appointment tuesday as far as weight/ height/ milestones.

isla's EEG and neurology appointment...
isla slept the whole way to charleston. 2 hours. and that was after she slept the whole night practically. everything went good at both appointments. the EEG lady really ticked her off when she started marking the spots on her head for the electrode thingys. i told the lady like three times that she had surgery and is very protective of her head, that she has temporary mesh plates and screws, and...

last night i screwed up...
i was sterilizing all of isla oral motor toys/tools and i accidently put her z-vibe in the sterilizer bag and i melted it…
dang it.
i sterilize her stuff all the time and i know not to put the z-vibe in there. but i did. and i didnt even know it til i got it out.
stupid.
now i need to order a new one…

it would be great to be a child...
so i can throw something on the floor to express how frustrated or bored i am with that object.
so i can just put my head back and scream when i have to do something that i dont want to do.
so when i am tired and not having a good day i can cry and someone will be there to hold and comfort me.

such a great start to the day...
i slept in today…like a major slept in. isla did not sleep good last night at all. at three oclock and me only sleeping an hour or so i finally took her out into the living room, where tim was on the couch since isla was in bed with me, and put her in her swing and told tim to watch her. i couldnt physically do it anymore that night. and of course she slept in her swing and got into a good...

Introducing Isla's Orthotics!...
…and new shoes too.
so we drove down to georgetown with grandma (my mother) to pick up islas orthodics yesterday. she was so sleepy and grumpy on the way there. she would not fall asleep. the whole hour drive she as awake. we get three blocks away from Floyd’s Brace Company and she is sound asleep.
we carry her in and she is asleep while we wait for the doctor so we have a little...

…Isla’s sure steps came in! we go tomorrow to pick them up and make sure they fit!

yay! hopefully this will help her out some!

so excited! it only took insurance 5 weeks to approve them (sarcasm) and then about 5 days to get made and come in!
i feel tired...
exhausted really.
isla has had allergies and hasnt slept well the past week. the past two night she did good. but the lack of sleep is now catching up with me. plus im not feeling well.
im on my fifth cup of coffee and i cant tell a difference. oh well.
